What is A Moment of Retreat?
This is a moment of retreat – a moment of retreat to the present – a moment to listen, see, and breathe. A moment free of distraction from yesterday and tomorrow – free from the time on the clock.
-Excerpt from *This Moment of Retreat* by Heather Lee Schmidt (Page ix-xx).
At A Moment of Retreat, we believe a retreat is not away from something, but toward something – toward this very moment. How often do you spend time in the vastness of now, without an agenda? We invite you to discover this way of being: present, reflective, and guided by love and values.
A Moment of Retreat allows us to listen, learn, and love (AMOR) by drawing upon the many gifts of the present moment: Compassion, Creativity, Curiosity, Forgiveness, Humor, Inclusivity, Kindness, Non-Judgment, Safety, Silence, Stillness, Spaciousness, Sufficiency, and Wonder.
If you are looking for a moment of retreat, we would be honored to accompany you.

The Greatest Gift is AMOR = LOVE
A Moment of Retreat invites you into the presence of AMOR, which means *love* in Spanish. AMOR is both the acronym for our organization and the word that embraces all the gifts of the present moment.
LOVE (AMOR) is the mystery that holds us, the energy that guides us, and the spaciousness in which compassion, creativity, curiosity, forgiveness, inclusivity, silence, and wonder can flourish.
